Petra Zanki is a performance and dance maker based in Seattle, Washington. After receiving her MA in comparative literature and French from the University of Zagreb,Croatia, Petra pursued her studies at the Theatre and performing arts department at the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris (M. Res). She presented her works and works in collaborations with Tea Tupajić, Oliver Frljić, Montažstroj, Shadowcasters, Via Negativa in USA, Australia and across Europe. Her texts have been published in magazines «Kazalište», “Frakcija” and «Kretanja». In 2010 Petra was awarded as best choreographer at the XI. Croatian platform of Young Choreographers. In 2012.-2013. she received SPAZIO scholarship in collaboration with ICK Amsterdam I Emio Greco, joined by CSC Dance House, Art Stations Foundation, and the Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance. From 2011 till 2013 she was an Artist-in-residence in Zagreb Dance Center. In the US she collaborated with On The Boards, Velocity, and PS122, and received the choreographer’s residency at the University of Washington.
